IX (JAGUAR)/OCELOTL (JAGUAR)

Aztec Mayan glyphs for Ix Ocelotl by Michael Giza

1-Ix Trecena’s theme: Adaptation
Begins 22 July 2017
Aztec deity ruling all Ix days: Tlazolteotl (Goddess of Purification)

Ix Concepts

The Mayan glyph for Ix is a stylized jaguar, and the Aztec glyph for Ocelotl is a jaguar’s head. Ix represents magic, alchemy, mystery, and power. As Jaguar Shaman, Ix has a deep connection to Mother Earth. It is both science and magic, and can indicate natural energies are being abused, showing a disconnection from nature and disassociation from peers.
