IMIX (CROCODILE)/CIPACTLI (CROCODILE)

mayan aztec glyph for imix cipactli by Michael Giza

1-Imix Trecena’s theme: Foundation
Begins 9 July 2017
Aztec deity ruling all Imix days: Ometeotl (Creator God)

Imix Concepts

The Mayan glyph for Imix is a water lily, and the Aztec glyph for Cipactli is an alligator’s head. Imix is Mother Earth, ongoing creation, protection, and the generation of new life and ideas. It is all those who love, nurture, protect, and provide for us. Imix can represent too much responsibility and not enough gratitude, and it can overprotect, smother, take away power, and punish.
