ASSIMILATION DAYS

assismilation glyph by Michael Giza

The 20 non-traditional assimilation days (also called core or central days) are the middle veintena (20- day period) of the Tzolkin, the spine around which the calendar turns. This veintena marks not only the center of the calendar, but also the shift from incoming (manifestation) to outgoing (intention) forces.

Assimilation days are a period of reflection and contemplation. Take into yourself everything you have received over the last 120 days, during the 26 manifestation portals, and see if it is what you wanted. If not, you will have 120 days—and 26 intention portals—to readjust your request. Think about moving to the next stop on the road of life, and what you need to do to get there. Focus on now (not anger at the past or worry about the future) and accept where you are unconditionally; this helps lay the foundation for your next project.

Assimilation energy is deeply per- sonal, focused inward. If your life is not going in the direction you desire, con- sider how to make changes, and spend the next half of the Tzolkin affecting those adjustments.

Although this is supposed to be a time of rest, this veintena can be very intense. Sensitive people feel the energy switching polarities, which may cause some mental confusion.

These are introvert days.

The symbol is the jaguar throne, a place to sit and meditate.
